Life Upside Down

Things I missed about the US, Charlotte specifically

+ NPR/WFAE

+ Having so many good friends in the nearby vicinity who will hang out with a few hours’ notice

+ How CHEAP everything is. Sorry I’m not sorry, it’s awesome. 

+ My old local yoga studio

+ This restaurant. I love it I love it I love it.

+ So very many beers to drink! Good, even local beers!

+ Eastern NC-style barbecue.

Things I didn’t miss at all:

+ Having to drive everywhere

+ Agressive drivers. Chill out people, we’re in the south. 

+ The pervasive collegiate southern girl style of throwing an oversized Salty Dog Cafe tee over running shorts, pairing it with rainbows and calling it an outfit. Seriously, what is that?

+ Chain restaurants. omg. I forgot how good we are at that.
